Hairline Hair Transplant Explained
Hairline hair transplant is a surgical solution that can fill in temple areas and level out an m-shaped hairline, boosting your self-confidence and making you look years younger. It is one of the most popular surgical procedures to fix receding hairlines. A properly executed hairline hair transplant can provide a seamless transition from your forehead to your temple and scalp area, and it will help you avoid that “doll’s head” or hair plugs appearance.강남헤어라인교정
The procedure involves transplanting your own natural hair follicles from the back and sides of your scalp – the donor area – to the part of your scalp with thinning or balding hair – the recipient area. This surgery can be performed on men and women of all ages.
A qualified surgeon will perform the procedure with minimal pain. Local anesthetics will be used on the donor and recipient areas to make sure you’re comfortable throughout the process. In addition, we offer IV sedation if you’re feeling nervous or anxious about the treatment.
We’ll trim and shape the grafts to give you the most natural-looking results. We’ll also test your hair growth to make sure it can survive in the new environment. Unlike older methods, the current hairline restoration techniques use micro and mini grafts that contain only one to three individual hair follicles. These grafts have more delicate and fine hair that better matches the texture of your natural growth. They are also smaller in size than the older “punch” grafts that had 10 to 20 hair follicles.
The grafts are placed into the recipient area using either the Follicular Unit Strip Surgery (FUSS) or the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) technique. During the FUSS technique, your doctor removes a 6- to 10-inch strip of skin from the back of your head. This strip is then set aside and sewn closed. Your surgeon will then create channels in the balding or sparse areas of your scalp with a needle or a blade. Then, they’ll insert the grafts into the areas that need them.
Once the grafts are in place, they’ll heal and begin to grow as normal. It’s important to follow your doctor’s post-care instructions so that you don’t wear hats or do anything that could dislodge the hair follicles. During this time, you may experience some itching or redness of the scalp, but this should go away within a few days.
After a few months, the newly transplanted hair should grow at a normal, healthy rate. This is when you can really see the difference that the surgery has made. Depending on your individual hair growth cycle, it can take up to 12 months for the transplanted hair to grow at its full potential.
After this, your restored hairline should be permanent and will remain unchanged for years to come if you maintain it properly. However, it’s important to remember that you can still lose more hair in the future and it is not impossible for the transplanted follicles to become bald again. If this happens, it’s likely that additional transplants will be needed in the future to continue to sustain your newly restored and natural-looking hairline.모우다의원
